Summary:
In an action packed thriller which brings viewers back into their high school prime or lack there of, four friends since the first grade, Johnny, Jim, Mike, and Matt were arriving upon their last months together in high school. The past four years had been the time of their lives not having any real responsibilities such as carrying a job or folding their own laundry for that matter. But along with the pleasure of having no responsibilities came the annoyance of the people whose roof they lived under, their parents. Throughout high school, the four friends constantly battled with the struggle to deal with strict parents, especially Johnny. But this all changes for Johnny in the spring of his senior year when his parents decide to take a vacation to Aruba with no one left to watch him besides his older brother. With his house nanny not around either, Johnny knows that this could be his chance.
While sitting at lunch one day, Johnny decided to tell his friends. Johnny always had the same friends his entire life. He could tell them anything, but telling them came with the intention of making something happen. The intention to finally throw the best party of his life. Never wanting to really take action himself before, Johnny relies on his friend Matt to make the calls. Although Matt seemed detrimental to the party at times, nothing would be the same without his wild side. Meanwhile Jim, a boy who never seemed to risk anything in his life, attempted to hold him back and Mike presented himself evenly throughout their different opinions.
The party however creates a spin on the night which brings out the characters true bond, both good and bad. With the intention to show a group of high school best friends going through ups and downs together, May 2nd is a story like no other. While celebrating everyone’s high school times once spent, the four friends show that no matter what ever happens, nothing can break true friendships and having a good time.
