Dennis Runs For President- Juliana Oelkers

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is not your traditional sit-com. Its exclusion of romance, heartfelt moments, and background laughter are just some of the qualities that make it stand out from other shows, like Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, and How I Met Your Mother. Actors and creators of the show, Glenn Howerton, Charlie Day, and Rob McElhenney, who play Dennis Reynolds, Charlie Kelly, and Mac respectively, continue to keep the show fresh and interesting. Their use of traditionally inappropriate topics, like drug use, prostitution, and alcoholism, create a funny and refreshing tone, while other sit-coms continue the same boring, and played out themes.

The latest episode, "Dennis Runs for President", airing summer 2017, continues this unorthodox theme. In this episode, Dennis decides to run for president to save America from the Trump administration. He makes each member of the gang a part of his campaign team. After much deliberation about his policies, they are finally ready to hit the streets and campaign, but Dennis inevitably insults them all and becomes too conceded. When Dee (Kaitlin Olson) also decides to run, because of this reason, a battle erupts between her and Dennis, and there is nothing they won't do to win. This episode includes everything that fans of Its Always Sunny love about the show. Besides the hilarious comedy, great actors like Danny DeVito and Kaitlin Olson deliver amazing and funny performances. Drugs, deceit, and the schemes of Frank (Danny DeVito), all climax in this epic battle for President of the United States. Who will win?
