Today in class, we watched a movie! Well that wasn't the only thing we did today, Mr. Rivers reminded us first that our groups and overall podcast ideas should be done by November 9th (that's still about 2 weeks away). Our class watched the film Wall-E, so that we can use that movie as a comparison to the book we are reading, Ready Player One. Mr. Rivers had us go onto Google Classroom and hand in an assignment, where we had to come up with a strong discussion question dealing with the film. The assignment said to avoid questions such as guesses/opinions, yes or no questions, questions that the film itself will answer, and questions without a specific visual, textual, or narrative evidence. We were also told to keep an open mid about the film, because although it was a Disney film and most of us don't seem to watch many G rated films anymore, we were told to try and enjoy the film. The class ended in watching the film, and answering the question on Google Classroom.
